HIKING IN SÖLDEN
HIKE – EAT – DELIGHT: PRISTINE NATURE AND DELICIOUS LOCAL FOOD
The municipality of Sölden covers 467 square kilometers, making it the largest Austrian municipality – even bigger than Vienna. Most of the area isn’t developed and is covered by glaciers, mountains, alpine pastures, forests and 300 kilometers of hiking trails. If you want to explore all the trails in Sölden, you'll definitely have to come back a few times.
The trail network leads past more than 30 mountain inns. So you won’t have to go hungry on your hike! An especially popular destination in Sölden is the Gampe Thaya. It’s set in a fantastic location and offers some famous culinary highlights. If you only want to hike one way – down or up – use one of the numerous cable cars or chair lifts.
ALPINE AND GLACIER HIKES
You can really go high in the world of Sölden’s mountains and glaciers. To make sure you manage your high-alpine tours safely, we recommend booking a local guide. A certified mountain and hiking guide will not only lead you up a 3,000-meter peak. You will also enjoy less difficult hikes even more if you have a guide by your side.
